“… it doesn't comes out on the tripod, I like to put the burlap on the floor, because on the floor I feel more comfortable, closer, more a part of a painting.

I can walk around, immerse myself from four different sides, be really a part of a painting.

When I am working on my painting I don't realise what am I doing, only after a while I see the direction it took.

And I am not afraid to make changes, even to destroy the image, because the painting has its own life and I am just bringing it out and as an artist and author I express my personality and the spirit of the age in which I live.

The art is not subordinated to any space or time law, and when the painting seems insignificant or it doesn't express anything, it isn't true. There is no form, nothing in the world that express nothing. The message may not reach but it happens because it has been pronounced in a wrong place. The art never knuckles under, and it is eternally free and has no obligation because the art is something dictated from a deep of our soul.”

Luciano Tulipani, born in Spoleto, began to paint in a young age being able to attend artistic circles and environments of Spleto and Rome. A remarkable contribution to his cultural education comes form his journeys to Barcelona and Paris and constant contacts with foreign artists.

His painting, after initial figurative experience, includes totally the modern experiences in a field of informal (free) using the technique of “Dripping” in very personal way and also other modern techniques.

The surfaces (1 meter x 1 meter) are usually treated with materials pasted in such a skilful way to attest his deep knowledge of materials like “bostik”, “vinavil” glues sawdust, putty, glass colours, etc…
